All our courses deliver nationally and professionally recognised qualifications, and in as little as 1 year you can go from zero experience to a applying for registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) as a qualified dental nurse. In addition we offer 12-18 month advanced apprenticeship courses, plus specialist industry training courses. In other words, we cover the whole gamut of training needed to kick-start or further your dental nursing career.

tick.png NEBDN - National Diploma in Dental Nursing 18+

Course Information

This is a foundation course which prepares trainee dental nurses for a career in dental care. The NEBDN Diploma in Nursing is a nationally recognised qualification covering all outcomes as outlined by the 'GDC Preparing To Practice' document. The course is open to people of 18 years and over and lasts for 12 months. It's designed to to get people to the standard where they can apply for GDC registration. tick.png National Examination Board of Dental Nursing (NEBDN)    Diploma In Dental Nursing E-Learning

 This course is soon to be launched in May 2017 and gives people the opportunity to study in the comfort of their own home, in their own time. Students must be employed as a trainee dental nurse prior to being accepted and practical learning is carried out in the workplace, while the theory-based learning is done online.  After 1 year of study and qualification, students become registered dental nurses. tick.png CACHE Level 3 Diploma - The Principles & Practice of Dental Nursing


This qualification is a 12 month course focusing on chair-side support and work required during a range of dental treatments. As well as technical hands-on training, the course also covers subjects such as ethics, teamwork, communication and professionalism. Students will need proof of placement from a suitable dental practice prior to enrolment but with our in-house recruitment team, this is something that we can help you with. Course Details

This is a 12-18 month course which combines real workplace learning with classroom theory. The duration of the course is 12-18 months and at the end of it students can expect to gain:

tick.png  A CACHE level 3 award in Employment and Personal Learning Skills

Undertaking continual professional development is key if you want to retain a place as a registered dental care professional. For this reason we also offer a wide range of CPD courses for dental nurses looking to further their development. These include but are not limited to:

As part of their ongoing training it's compulsory for dental nurses to complete courses on basic life support and CPR. Here at Dental Nursing Academy, we offer this course for Free for all students attending our courses. Topics include how to deal with asthma attacks, heart attacks, fainting and how to administer emergency treatment. This essential training will give students the vital life skills needed to save a life. Upon completion a certificate is issued and is valid for 12 months.
