Managing Director/Lead Assessor

Having started at Dental Nursing Academy 5 years ago as assessor I worked my way up to lead assessor then in April 2022 I took over the business as Managing Director and am working on developing the business further. I have over 20 years experience as a dental nurse and assessor and provide myself on supporting students to achieve.

I enjoy the quality side of the business and always looking at new ways we can improve. I love to have a good chat and enjoy working with my team. In my spare time as its not all about work! I love to run…mad I know! And cycle and love a good challenge. My friends and family say I am a little crazy but am always putting others first.

Viktoriia Zahorodna

Office Manager/Student support

Office Manager/Student Support Officer with 8 years of experience working alongside the team at Dental Nursing Academy. Viktoriia specializes in administrative duties, educating other employees and learners on using students portfolios and other organizational apps. Viktoriia is a powerful force in the workplace and uses her positive attitude and tireless energy to encourage others to work hard and succeed.

Preetee Hylton

Tutor/Safeguard Lead

Preetee is a restorative dental nurse and a safeguarding lead at The No.8 Partnership Dental Practice in Chelsea, London; as well as a dental nursing tutor at the Dental Nursing Academy and an Associate (OSCE) Examiner with the NEBDN. Preetee is also an editorial board member for the Dental Nursing Journal and occasionally features in BDJ Team and Dentistry.co.uk. She is passionate about raising awareness about domestic abuse due to her being a domestic abuse survivor and speaks about this sensitive subject at dental conferences/events.

Atiqa

Tutor/Assessor

My name is Atiqa, I have over five years experience working in the dental laboratory field and dental surgery. I am also a qualified tutor/assessor and have gained experience working with learners making sure they achieve the best possible outcome from their learning. I am also working as an Independent End Point Assessor, helping students achieve their qualification. I am passionate about all things dentistry and also enjoy time with my family and my daughter.

Anna

Tutor

Anna is one of our super tutors and assessors. My name is Anna Lord iv been a dental nurse for 25 years, I'm also qualified as a sedation nurse also, spent about 5 years as a practice senior/manager then went on to assessing about 10 years ago, love helping and supporting learners through there qualifications. In spare time like to go to the cinema and the gym and weekends away.

Charlotte

Observation Assessor

Charlotte is our Observation Assessor and loves to help develop our Dental Nurses. Charlotte qualified as a dental nurse in 2009 and had remained registered ever since. She has worked in various roles including dental nurse, reception and treatment coordinator. She is currently working as operations manager across 2 busy orthodontic practices. To keep in touch with general dentistry she is now also a dental nurse assessor and loves that it keeps her involved with her nursing background.

Carley

Observation Assessor

I’m Carley, I’ve been a dental nurse for almost 30 years and a tutor and assessor for 8 years. I love my job of helping students succeed in becoming registered dental nurses. I am a work place assessor for the Academy, carrying out observations in the North for our students based up there. You’ll find me to be enthusiastic, caring, supportive. When I come out to visits it’s a day I really enjoy as it means I get to meet you the student and your practices, and see all the hard work you are doing. Outside of work, I have 3 dogs and enjoy walking and visiting the Lake District.

Geeta

Tutor/Assessor

My name is Geeta Hirani working as a workplace assessor at Dental Nursing Academy. I have over 8 years of dental nursing experience and have been an assessor for over 7 years. I am very passionate about my job role and like to share the knowledge and experience gained with the team to enable them to grow and also to provide detailed feedback, support and guidance to students during their observations enabling them to be a good dental nurse, it satisfies me when the student has achieved their dental nursing qualification. I enjoy meeting students, clinicians and dental team in the workplace and complete the observations to a high standing meeting the awarding body requirements. During my spare time, I enjoy walking, listening to music, cooking and spending time with my family.

Ruth

IQA

Ruth works closely with our Assessors and Tutors to ensure the delivery of your qualification is kept at a high standard. Ruth has worked in Dentistry for nearly thirty years and when she ‘s not busy she likes to read, watch sport and travel the world. Ruth is also a self-confessed crazy cat lady!
